Senior Manager, Systems Engineering (Onsite) Senior Manager of Systems Engineering responsible for leading a systems engineering team delivering complex, high‑reliability mission system solutions. Oversees all lifecycle phases to ensure program success and alignment with business objectives. Requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. What You Will Do Provide day‑to‑day and long‑range leadership for a systems engineering team, including coaching, performance management, career development, and staffing Lead system architecture definition, requirement decomposition, and technical planning activities across multiple programs Ensure engineering rigor through consistent use of systems engineering processes, best practices, and compliance with organizational standards Collaborate with program management, hardware, software, and specialty engineering functions to drive technical integration and successful execution Oversee risk management, trade studies, technical decision‑making, and documentation Establish and maintain technical roadmaps, capability development plans, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team Manage resources, schedules, and priorities to support multiple concurrent programs Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and high performance Qualifications You Must Have Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and minimum 10 years relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years experience Active and transferable U.S. Government (DoD) Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance U.S. citizenship required Extensive experience in systems engineering for complex hardware/software systems Demonstrated experience managing or leading engineering teams Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements management, integration, and verification processes Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle (proposal through sustainment) Excellent communication skills, able to engage executives, customers, and cross‑functional stakeholders Proven ability to balance technical depth with managerial responsibilities Qualifications We Prefer Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Security Clearance prior to start date Experience in defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries Familiarity with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools Experience with cost planning, workforce forecasting, and talent development Demonstrated success developing engineering capabilities and improving processes Salary & Compensation Salary range: $132,400 - $251,600 USD.
