Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Profession: Advanced Practice Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 1 Shift: Mid - 10x4 Hours per Shift: 12PM - 10PM Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Board Certified or Board Eligible Certifications: Required BLS Must-Have: Ability to treat patients of all ages Onsite orientation is required 1 day prior to the first scheduled shift. Coverage is needed for the Emergency Department (NP or PA) from 12PM to 10PM. Dates needed include September 5 to September 7 and September 12 to September 13. There is an opportunity for more dates in the future. The facility operates 7 days a week. The average number of patients seen per day in the clinic is 36. Support staff includes Emergency Department Physicians and Emergency Department RNs. The position involves both inpatient and outpatient care. Charting is done using Meditech. Fellowship is not required for this position. The reason for this need is due to time off, vacations, and scheduling requirements. Credentialing typically takes 30 days, but can be completed more quickly depending on document submission. Temporary privileges may be granted in necessary situations. Travel and lodging will be provided if needed. The average number of admissions per shift is 3, and all ages of patients will be treated.
