We are seeking a friendly, energetic and organized host or Host to join our restaurant team. The host or Host is the first person to interact with patrons, it is imperative that the host is friendly, personable, informative and professional. The host or Host is the face of the restaurant and provides guests with their first impressions of the establishment. You must be patient, excel at customer service, and alert to guest needs. You will welcome patrons, seat them at tables or in lounge, and help ensure quality of facilities and service while providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to our guests while also ensuring that they are seated promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests with a warm and friendly smile
• Inform the guests that their table is ready and invite them to the table
• Carry guests' drinks to their seats/tables from the bar area and transfer their tab to the table if needed
• Pull out their chairs and tables to make it easier for the guests to sit down
• Answer calls promptly and politely
• Utilize all tables on a rotation to achieve highest turnaround of guests and maintain smooth flow of the restaurant
• Keep host stand well organized and stocked
• Tour the restaurant in intervals to identify any empty tables
• Respond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessary
• Complete opening/running/closing side work duties as assigned
• Assist teammates with opening/running/closing side work duties upon request
• Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
• Assisting with phone calls and taking reservations
• Monitoring the dining area and ensuring that tables are cleaned and reset in a timely manner
• Working closely with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions guests may have
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
• Must be able to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, use repetitive motions, bend, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

Experience:

• Host/hostess: 1 year (Preferred)

REQUIREMENTS

• Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Host preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Organizational and multitasking skills
• Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of OpenTable reservation system is a plus
