Human Resources GeneralistPrimary ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & On-BoardingDocumentation & File ManagementStaff DevelopmentTeam BuildingMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain complianceActivities – Tasks – SkillsRecruiting & On-BoardingWorking with our Management Team, assist in identifying current and future personnel needs and creating a plan to fill these needsAssisting with creating, developing, and maintaining current and accurate Job DescriptionsProactively post positions utilizing a variety of platformsHandle pre-screening process and coordinate interviews with viable candidates with Management TeamParticipate in candidate interviews and provide inputMaintain data, stage in process, and ensure timely communications occur with candidatesPrepare offer letters for candidates and perform background and reference checksDevelop a network of resources to recruit fromCoordinate and manage on-boarding process with new hiresDocumentation & File ManagementEnsure Job Descriptions are current, and a company-wide, consistent format is adhered toEnsure all personnel documentation and files are managed to adhere to all state and federal lawsEnsure timely and accurate reporting of all statistical data as required by law or requested by the Executive TeamMaintain a HR calendar to ensure all performance and compensation reviews are completed in a timely manner. Communication and follow-up with our Management Team is the key factor hereStaff DevelopmentRecommend and deliver pertinent training to management team and the entire staff on topics that you or the Executive Team identify and agree onSupport other team managers in their training and development initiativesServe as Offix' "Information Sharing Officer". Strive to identify current and relevant staffing & HR data and share with the appropriate team membersAttend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsWill require traveling and spending time in our Richmond and Norfolk, VA offices on occasionBenefits Management & Team BuildingWorking with the Executive Team to ensure the Employee Benefits Package is properly communicated, documented, updated, and coordinated to ensure all state and federal laws are adhered to and employee satisfaction is maximizedReview benefit offerings from vendors and make recommendations to Executive TeamPlan & coordinate team building events as agreed on with the Executive Team – a minimum of 2 per yearServe as a Total Quality Management and Culture Champion by working with our team to create a climate in which our employees continuously strive to improve their ability to provide great customer care to our clients and strive to assist us in achieving our Offix Cultural GoalsServe as Offix' Point Person for "grievance issues and conflict resolution issues" within the companyServe as Executive Team's sounding board and pro-actively provide input, suggestions, and recommendations re: actions, activities, coaching, etc. that you believe should be addressedRequirementsBachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred3 to 5 years of relevant recruiting and/or HR experience is preferredSHRM Certification or is in the process is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic to advanced skills working with Excel and Microsoft OfficeStrong time management, planning and organizational skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and improve business processesStrong interpersonal skills and professional presence to work effectively with a teamAgreement to and willingness to strive to meet and support others in meeting Our Values…
