Assistant Branch Manager

Function and Responsibilities Building relationships with our members, and offering first-class service is a top priority at Town & Country FCU. Applying our lending philosophy and identifying member needs, the Assistant Branch manager plays an intricate role in expanding the member relationship with the credit union and helping them reach their financial goals.
The Assistant Branch Manager conducts loan interviews, underwrites loans, reviews and evaluates information on loan documents to determine loan conditions meet credit union and regulatory standards, and conducts loan closings. The Assistant Branch Manager also assists members with opening new accounts and miscellaneous service requests. The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch manager with employee development by directing, developing, and motivating, and branch staff. Together as a team the staff strives to reach branch growth goals. The Assistant Branch Manager assists the Branch manager with monthly coaching sessions to support staff with reaching individual goals. Working closely with the Branch Manager on employee development serves as a great training ground for the Assistant Branch manager to grow into the role.
Experience & Education
Three to five years of similar or related work experience.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. • Lifts up to 25 lbs.
Location This position is for one of our six branches located in either South Portland, Portland, Scarborough, or Saco.
