Take your expertise in audiology to the next level by partnering with schools to support students’ educational needs. An onsite contract opportunity is available for a qualified Audiologist to conduct an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) focused on auditory processing. This unique assignment involves collaborating closely with a school nurse and is designed for a single evaluation to be completed before the end of September.
Your role will make a direct impact on a student’s academic planning while allowing you to put your specialized skills to use within a supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Audiologist License (required)
- Experience in school settings or conducting educational auditory assessments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with school staff
- Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in evaluation documentation
Responsibilities:
- Perform a comprehensive auditory processing assessment as part of an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)
- Collaborate with the school nurse and relevant staff to ensure a smooth evaluation process
- Provide detailed, accurate evaluation reports for IEP/504 team consideration
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Fulfill evaluation within specified timeline before the end of September
