Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of students by stepping into a vital Special Education support position for the upcoming school year! This contract role offers the opportunity to empower K-8 students by serving as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Interventionist. You’ll work closely with experienced Special Education Teachers and a dedicated support team in an inclusive, engaging school environment.
Your journey begins on August 20th, with hours from 7:30am to 3:00pm, providing a structured and consistent schedule. This hands-on opportunity covers the full 37.5-week school year, allowing you to foster lasting connections with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in a K-8 setting, particularly in special education or behavioral support roles
- Adaptability and a collaborative spirit to work alongside teachers and support staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both students and colleagues
- Ability to implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and behavior intervention plans
- Demonstrated patience, positivity, and problem-solving within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Special Education Teachers in classroom instruction and activities
- Assist students with emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges during their school day
- Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed to enhance learning and social skills
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the education team
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive, and safe classroom setting
