Registered Nurse, Part-time 24-hour, Nights 7p -7a, ED, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes. Maintains clinical documentation, adheres to safety protocols, and supports patient education and advocacy. Responsibilities Perform systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments, including discharge needs, medication and treatment monitoring, pain assessment, documentation, and individualized patient education. Demonstrate competent clinical skills, analyze situations, document realistic goals, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans. Communicate clearly and effectively with the healthcare team, including complete hand‑off communication. Apply critical thinking and time management, assume accountability for safe nursing care, delegate appropriately, conduct patient rounds, support daily huddles, and use approved communication tools. Adhere to OSHA, Joint Commission, and Nursing Practice standards, use patient identifiers and allergy checks, follow hand‑washing and isolation protocols, manage equipment, mentor staff, and participate in shared governance. Qualifications Education: BSN preferred; must be obtained from an accredited institution. Experience: 2–3 years of emergency department or acute care experience. Certificates: BLS required ACLS required prior to ED orientation PALS completion within one year of hire (except pediatrics) Licenses: Valid NJ RN license or compact license.
