Junior Technical Analyst

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Junior Technical Analyst to provide hands‑on IT operations and end-user support for one of our Life Sciences and Technology partners.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is a global leader in life sciences and technology, with operations and teams around the world. Working as part of the Infrastructure Operations team, the Junior Technical Analyst will provide onsite support for day‑to‑day IT operations, including end‑user support, system administration, infrastructure, security, and business applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career IT professional to gain hands‑on experience supporting users and technology within a complex, global enterprise environment.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide end‑user and administrative support for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure. Respond to IT‑related questions and provide technical guidance and assistance to users. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues. Perform routine IT operations activities, including onsite equipment and system checks. Configure, install, deploy, and support PCs, peripherals, and other IT equipment. Assist with basic system administration and infrastructure support activities. Ensure established IT procedures, security practices, and operational standards are followed. Develop a working knowledge of department‑specific applications and technologies. Use an ITSM/Service Desk platform to document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions. Escalate more complex technical issues to appropriate senior technical teams when required. Maintain accurate support and technical documentation. Collaborate with local and global IT teams to resolve issues and support business users. Contribute to departmental service levels, key performance indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

1+ years of experience providing end‑user, desktop, help desk, or technical support. 1+ years of experience supporting PC applications, operating systems, and hardware. Good working knowledge of PCs, IT hardware, and associated peripherals. Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, application, and connectivity issues. Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems. Familiarity with ITSM, Service Desk, incident management, or ticketing systems. Strong customer service orientation and a willingness to assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge. Sound judgment and strong analytical, organizational, and follow‑up skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a broader IT team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification. Diploma, degree, or technical training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Previous experience supporting users within a corporate or enterprise IT environment. Exposure to IT infrastructure, system administration, networking, or information security. Experience working with ITSM or Service Desk platforms. Experience supporting users within life sciences, medical technology, healthcare, or another regulated environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity based in the San Jose, California area. This is a fully onsite position requiring regular interaction with business users and IT equipment at the client location. The successful candidate should be comfortable providing hands‑on technical support and working collaboratively with both local and global IT teams.
