Product Engineer

About the role:

As a Product Engineer you will perform routine engineering design analyses using established Westinghouse developed methodologies to develop new nuclear fuel products and enhancements of existing fuel products.

You will report to the Manager - Engineering and work a hybrid schedule based in Columbia, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in multifaceted teams with focus on new product development or issue resolution.
• Initiate and support product testing activities of nuclear fuel and related components. Evaluate test results and document results in related reports.
• Work with customers, vendors, and other internal departments to support design activities.
• Perform design changes to support manufacturability improvements.
• Identify and help develop new business opportunities.
• Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments.

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0+ years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, Ansys, and MATLAB

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
