Self Storage Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Self Storage Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity. As a Self Storage Maintenance Technician, you will be an essential part of the maintenance department supporting multiple storage facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Milford, OH

Pay Range: $39,520 - $52,000 per year based upon experience

Shift: 1st shift, 8 hours per day Monday - Friday. In the winter, could be asked to work on Saturday when it snows to remove snow from sidewalk around storage unit.

What's the Job?

Diagnose and repair roll-up storage doors, including spring replacement, cable, latch, and track repairs
Perform door alignment and adjustments to ensure proper functionality
Conduct preventative maintenance on doors and facility structures
Complete general facility repairs such as electrical work (lighting, wall packs), minor carpentry, and hardware fixes
Troubleshoot gate systems (Viking or similar systems) and document work performed

What's Needed?

Hands-on experience replacing roll-up door springs (REQUIRED)
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely with tension systems and heavy components
Experience with hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license
