Overview Manages and performs accounting functions in conjunction with the Director of Finance. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting and protects all company assets. Implements company and department policies and procedures related to financial management. Performs all responsibilities in compliance with various federal and state regulations, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and Regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, and all internal policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures, using safety equipment, and reporting unsafe practices or conditions. Attend regularly, reporting to work on schedule, on time, and ready to work. Manage accounting activities and produce accurate, timely financial and statistical reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or as required. Supervise and manage staff responsible for the accounting function, including accounts payable, revenue and expense recording, fixed asset activity, inventory, etc. Oversee and assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely. Ensure timely payment of all gaming taxes and other regulatory fees. Assist in accurate financial reporting and participate in quarterly and year‑end audits performed by external auditors. Post all journal entries and maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, including the fixed assets ledger. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts each month and close accounting records accurately at month‑end. Review and interpret unusual transactions, adjustments, or unexpected financial results to determine appropriate accounting treatment or necessary follow-up. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets. Report to the Director of Finance with accurate and timely work. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of and experience using various accounting software products, including general ledger and Excel. Ability to learn other accounting software programs as necessary. Ability to perform within specific deadlines and under pressure. Well‑organized with demonstrated experience in problem‑solving and prioritizing work. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent education and experience. Three (3) or more years of recent and related accounting experience, including managerial experience. Prefer experience working in the gaming industry.
