About the Role:

San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a talented and passionate Banquet Line Cook to join our culinary team! Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute high-quality banquet meals for events of varying sizes and styles

Set up and break down banquet line stations efficiently before and after service

Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and presentation

Coordinate with banquet and kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and service

Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following FIFO standards

Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations

Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and mise en place for upcoming events

Requirements:

1+ years of line cook or banquet cooking experience in a hotel, club, or restaurant setting

Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced banquet kitchen environment

Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and time management skills
