Patient Service Representative - Mercy Ob/Gyn - Full Time

The PSR ensures that the patient experience is positive and seamless by managing front desk operations and workflows. Position Details: Patient Service Representative Mercy Clinic Ob/Gyn - 10004 Kennerly Schedule : Full Time, Monday through Friday Qualifications: * Education : High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience : Customer service experience preferred Responsibilities: * Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage check‑in/check‑out * Answer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handling * Schedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith Estimates * Monitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow * Maintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queues * Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate as needed * Manage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plans * Support EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communications * Maintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policies * Perform other duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: * Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing processes * Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills * Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry * Strong customer service skills with a patient‑focused approach * High attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies * Adaptable, professional, and able to work well under pressure * Effective problem‑solving and issue resolution skills Why Mercy?
