You will join a dynamic, multi-functional team that not only develop application but also designs, tests and supports their services. You will develop software to support seamless management of networking and cybersecurity products and emerging cryptographic solutions. This role will enable you to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle, from initial design through to successful implementation and ongoing support.As an software engineer, you'll be a member of a agile team responsible for the manager applications for multiple product lines. You'll be working with modern Web application development using the latest tools and technologies.The Day-To-DayDevelop and maintain web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies.Engage with multi-functional teams in designing, building, testing and deploying new features.Write and review secure, maintainable, and efficient code.Engage in team reviews and actively participate in team's development.Linux OS use, for development environmentAbility to plan, track and report on progressTriage and prioritize issuesMentor and guide team membersStay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.Agile Scrum and CI/CD software developmentWhat You'll NeedBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar fieldA minimum 5 years of professional experience with web application development using Java or Kotlin3-5 years of professional experience with Spring and/or Spring bootExperience with using database technology such as PostgreSQLAbility to travel up to 10%Ability to obtain US Secret clearanceWhat Will Help You On The JobUS citizenship and active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance.Ability to apply AIContainerization with Docker or equivalentExperience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, RESTCONF)Good oral and written communications skillsAbility to quickly learn and use new information and handle complicated tasksPrior experience using PythonExperience with automated unit and integration testingSalary Range$140,500.00 - $221,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $174,000.00- $261,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
