Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Workday Benefits Consultant on behalf of our client in Remote location to support and manage the full benefits lifecycle within the Workday HCM environment. This role requires deep functional expertise in Workday Benefits, including benefits configuration, open enrollment, eligibility management, benefit events, integrations, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with HR, Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, and technical teams to ensure efficient and accurate benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the end-to-end Workday Benefits lifecycle, including configuration, enrollment, administration, and ongoing maintenance.
• Configure and maintain benefits plans, programs, eligibility rules, coverage levels, rates, and related business processes.
• Lead and support annual Open Enrollment activities, including setup, testing, validation, and post-enrollment support.
• Configure and troubleshoot benefit events, including New Hire, Life Events, Marriage/Divorce, Birth/Adoption, Loss of Coverage, Retirement, Termination, and Rehire.
• Analyze and resolve benefit eligibility, enrollment, deduction, and event-processing issues.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
• Develop and maintain Workday business processes, condition rules, validations, approvals, and security configurations related to Benefits.
• Support benefits-related integrations with external vendors and coordinate data transmission activities.
• Perform benefit data validation, reconciliation, and audit processes between Workday and third-party providers.
• Participate in testing activities, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
• Investigate and resolve production issues while maintaining data accuracy and system integrity.
• Support year-end benefits activities and preparation for upcoming plan years.
• Review and troubleshoot payroll deductions associated with employee benefit elections.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, configuration guides, process documentation, and test scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Workday teams, including Payroll, Absence, Compensation, and HRIS.
• Evaluate Workday releases, assess business impacts, and perform regression testing for new functionality.
• Identify opportunities to optimize benefits processes, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working with Workday HCM, including significant experience specializing in Workday Benefits.
• Strong hands-on experience managing the complete benefits lifecycle within Workday.
• Expertise in configuring benefit plans, programs, eligibility rules, rates, coverage levels, and benefit events.
• Proven experience supporting Workday Open Enrollment activities.
• Experience troubleshooting eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and life-event processing issues.
• Strong understanding of benefits administration processes and HR business operations.
• Experience with Workday Business Processes, Condition Rules, Calculated Fields, and Security.
• Hands-on experience supporting benefits integrations and working with third-party benefits vendors.
• Strong data reconciliation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Benefits Certification (current or prior).
• Experience supporting large-scale Workday implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
• Experience working with multiple benefits carriers and vendor integrations.
• Knowledge of Workday Payroll, Absence, and Compensation modules.
