We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.ResponsibilitiesThis Manufacturing Engineering position supports the Keysight Santa Clara Order Fulfillment (OF) group in the manufacture of high-precision position measurement systems based on laser interferometry. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in sustaining mature HeNe laser tube products and manufacturing processes, ensuring continued product quality, reliability, and yield.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, close collaboration with Production, and ownership of equipment, processes, and supplier quality related to this product line.Key ResponsibilitiesSustain and continuously improve mature HeNe laser tube products and manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest quality standardsPerform hands-on calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production test tools and process equipmentProvide technical support to Production personnel, including root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield, quality, and reliability issuesOwn manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and control plansOriginate, review, and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Support component and materials supplier quality, including issue resolution and process improvementsApply statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing performanceDesign and conduct experiments and data collection to support process optimization and problem solvingLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and throughput enhancementSupport new product introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, transfer, and production readinessQualificationsRequired Knowledge & ExperienceExperience in most of the following technical areas is preferred:Scientific glass processing equipmentProperties of optical-grade glass and glass coatingsProperties and behavior of metal alloysVacuum processing and partial pressure analysisChemical composition analysisMechanical component inspection and metrologyGas laser theory (HeNe preferred)Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and analysisProcess automationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field5+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and root cause analysis skillsAbility to work effectively in a production environment and collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Suppliers, and OperationsStrong documentation and communication skillsCareers Privacy Statement Keysight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.Santa Clara, CA pay range: MIN $110,660 - MIDPOINT $147,540 - MAX $184,430Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by regionThis role is eligible for Keysight Results Bonus ProgramUS Employees may be eligible for the following benefits:Medical, dental and visionHealth Savings AccountHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsLife, Accident, Disability insuranceBusiness Travel Accident and Business Travel Health401(k) PlanFlexible Time Off, Paid HolidaysPaid Family LeaveDiscounts, PerksTuition ReimbursementAdoption AssistanceESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan)
