Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting and be ready to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will work in a combined ICU and MedSurg unit, with a patient care model that emphasizes individualized, seamless assistance to our patients and their families. This role involves floating between units as needed to maintain optimal patient care and staff efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist in the management of patients requiring telemetry, med-surg, and stepdown care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records systems.
• Support patients and their families through education and emotional support.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license.
• ACLS certification is required.
• At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a critical care environment.
• Experience with cardiac drips and general ICU protocols is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a flexible approach to patient care and support colleagues as needed.

Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of an Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions required).
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to employment.
• Mandatory reporter certification (child and adult) is required.
• Must pass a drug test with a comprehensive 10-panel screening.
• Immunization titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB must be current (within the last 12 months).

Work Schedule

The position offers flexible start dates, with availability for both 36 and 48-hour weekly shifts.

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color are acceptable, with guidelines against inappropriate attire, including sweatshirts or sweatpants.
