Job Summary

The Senior Social Media Manager owns social strategy and execution across every channel. You’ll lead a Senior Social Media Content Creator, run the day-to-day relationship with an external social agency, and launch and scale a UGC/influencer program. Social is becoming a cornerstone of the brand’s digital strategy, and this role drives it.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Ownership

• Own and drive adoption of the social strategy to grow awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition
• Support existing channels and stand up new ones, with a focus on TikTok and YouTube
• Stay on top of trends and algorithm shifts so the brand’s presence keeps evolving with each platform
• Read and analyze KPIs, then partner with the agency to turn results into content game plans
• Pivot quickly when trends, partnership posts, or launches pop up
• Work with the Content Creator to schedule all posts in advance in Hootsuite

Agency Ownership

• Run the external agency relationship day to day, including bi-weekly status meetings and accountability against all deliverables
• Manage the social content calendar so launch dates, brand moments, and content pillars all get hit
• Support community engagement alongside the agency: DMs, partnership inquiries, and real conversations with customers on and off owned channels

Influencer / UGC Program

• Launch and scale a UGC and influencer program to drive awareness, customer acquisition, and authentic content
• Own influencer selection, communication, and the program budget
• Set clear KPIs for success across platforms
• Align with the Content Creator and Partnerships team on collabs and influencer features
• Focus primarily on equipment, while supporting apparel and nutrition-side influencer programs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with creative, editorial, and brand to keep tone, messaging, and targeting consistent
• Work with brand, partnerships, events, global, and commercial teams to highlight key stories, launches, partners, and activations

Required Experience

• Fitness, apparel, lifestyle, or nutrition industry experience is a must
• 5-10 years as a social media manager on brands with 250k+ followers
• Expert-level knowledge of Meta, YouTube, and TikTok, and how each performs differently
• Experience building and running an influencer program with measurable results
• Experience managing an external agency partner
• Proven ability to turn KPI analysis into actionable strategy, content calendars, and long-lead plans
• Experience leading strategy and reacting to cultural moments in a way that builds trust with consumers
• Experience partnering with creative teams on ideation and on-brand execution
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training

Compensation and Benefits

• Base: $115,000-$125,000 plus bonus potential
