Job Description: What you'll do at COBH:

• Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals.
• Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication.
• Monitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participation.
• Serve in a fundamental role as a multi-disciplinary team member that creates a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation.

2nd shift available, weekend rotations. These positions receive a minimum of 17 weekends off per year per the OCSEA union contract. Must be able to complete a 4-week training/orientation. May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior. This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of $10 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. This position is located at COBH at 2200 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43223. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Qualifications: Position Qualifications:

• License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code & proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
• Note: Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess Certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 Ohio Revised Code.
