Field Service Engineer 1

Field Service Engineer 1 performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on X-Ray and Ultrasound equipment in the Chicago region. The role involves learning service repair techniques, managing customer relationships, and maintaining equipment documentation while working toward independent service call capabilities within one year.
Responsibilities
- Complete on-time preventative maintenance, field modification instructions, and equipment service bulletins
- Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installation and basic troubleshooting on designated modalities
- Communicate with customers to ensure issue resolution and follow-up, building satisfaction and partnership
- Maintain service logs, customer records, repair parts ordering, and administrative documentation
- Progress toward independently answering service calls within one year of employment
Requirements
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to work after-hours or rotating on-call schedule including weekends for critical issues
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs unassisted; frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling
- Good hand and finger dexterity with color, close, distance, and peripheral vision abilities
- Must pass background check, drug test, and comply with customer access policies including immunization requirements
Compensation: $66,000-$99,000 annual base, plus potential performance-based incentive compensation
