Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Data Protection

Salary: $114,080 - 218,030 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• We require 6 years of infrastructure experience with depth in a specific discipline or technology, including 2 years in a systems operations environment supporting complex deployments and infrastructure management, or comparable IT experience such as IT management, software development, data engineering, or agile product/release management.
• We require 4 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data backup, recovery, and cyber resiliency infrastructure.
• We require advanced business acumen in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends.
• We require knowledge of scalable IT infrastructure design, system change implementation, or automation of service delivery and maintenance tasks.
• We require demonstrated experience with cloud technologies and tools.
• We require demonstrated experience with image-based backup solutions, virtualized infrastructure, database backups, and disaster recovery.
• We value experience developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale backup and recovery solutions.
• We value experience implementing cyber recovery solutions that detect and respond to threats and help restore operations quickly.

• We drive data protection transformation initiatives focused on simplification, standardization, resilience, and operational efficiency, while developing engineering standards, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
• We architect and deploy data protection solutions for virtual hosts, SQL, NoSQL, DB2, Oracle distributed workloads, cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, SaaS, and Active Directory workloads.
• We support critical operational automation by developing and implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions, automated workflows, and process improvements that streamline operations and improve deployment consistency.
• We maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance, business continuity, cyber resilience, and data integrity and immutability.
• We independently design scalable IT system infrastructure, oversee and prioritize system changes, reserve execution for complex implementations, and automate service delivery and maintenance tasks.
• We provide direction and prioritization for monitoring and tooling activities.
• We independently resolve highly complex production issues and lead troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions across multiple systems.
• We lead analysis of end-to-end system failures and identify opportunities for improvement across systems.
• We recommend process and business solution improvements to business leaders.
• We experiment with new patterns and technologies.
• We help establish and improve engineering best practices, concepts, and patterns with peers and the business.
• We proactively identify innovative solutions and ideas by understanding customer needs.
• We mentor and coach engineers on the design, development, and maintenance of systems.
• We develop software-defined infrastructure in code within CI/CD pipelines.
• We ensure risks tied to business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
