This leader sets the sales business and operating strategy for the facility builds teams that achieve corporate improvement objectives and creates a work environment that promotes safety and quality while adhering to all regulatory and environmental requirements. The General Manager is accountable for all aspects of site performance and for driving best practice and continuous improvement in safety quality delivery and role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer Americas providing high visibility across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong record of operational execution and a prior history of growing a business. The role works in close collaboration with the labels team across the Americas and the RFID is a turnkey partner in packaging from concept to application. Equipment Solutions is a unique part of that offering: MCC is the only printer and label converter in North America that is also an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of automation equipment. This allows MCC to provide customers a complete label and packaging Equipment Solutions facility is one of a kind within MCC. It manufactures label-making equipment for MCCs own plants and for MCCs customers combining deep label-industry knowledge with engineering and manufacturing Solutions is a fast-growing business with a goal of doubling in size within two years. Delivering that growth will require significant investment to bring more manufacturing in-house along with added people resources and work at MCC:Compensation: Competitive Compensation & Relocation AssistanceGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating holidaysResponsibilities:Lead all aspects of site operations making and approving major operating business engineering and operational decisions to ensure the facility performs and implement the strategic operating and business plan for Equipment Solutions Group and analyze and report on achievements and the site P&L managing cost through disciplined approval of expenditures and overtime budget monitoring and monthly variance reporting with accountability for OTIF and the site leadership team in delivering the facilitys overall operational and maintain positive professional relationships with customers including MCC plants as internal customers and external equipment safety compliance shop and office efficiency equipment reliability and product quality in accordance with contracts policies and applicable regulations directly and through visibility of project and build progress against agreed schedules and report on matters of concern related to viability safety environment work quality and HR Company and statutory quality and safety requirements to all equipment builds and change by anticipating and responding to developments within the site and across and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve operational performance including supply chain costs throughput cycle time and inventory and mentor team members aligning their development with business needs. Prepare authorize and review progress cost sales and job reports and ensure other associated documents are prepared in accordance with MCC and interpret data to make sound cost-effective in special products and projects and perform other duties as the plan to double the business within two years setting priorities and milestones and reporting progress to the CCO the sales strategy and commercial performance of Equipment Solutions Group including pipeline development pricing quoting and order intake for MCC plants and external closely with the labels team across the Americas and the RFID group to align customer opportunities product development and go-to-market key investments in the business including bringing more manufacturing in-house and adding people resources and industry connections with customers partners and suppliers to support growth and strengthen MCCs position in the current on emerging technologies including RFID and apply them to Equipment Solutions products and :Degree in Engineering Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent (10 years manufacturing leadership experience)Minimum 7 years of manufacturing operations/Lean leadership experience within a packaging equipment 5 years of full plant level P&L responsibility in being the lead change agent in complex transformational experience in implementation of complex Lean principals as they apply to manufacturing Lean training from an academy organization - either through direct consulting experience or via organizations with deep well-established lean operating to analyze problems and provide innovative success designing implementing communicating and meeting KPI goals including reducing supply chain costs improving through-put shortening cycle time and improving inventory proven communication skillsPrior history of successfully growing a of different label types and industry dynamics with the ability to build industry of RFID and the ability to be a quick study on new thinker with a track record of strong operational leadership experience with success developing and executing business strategy in a dynamic fast-changing ability to collaborate and partner effectively with other industry players as well as across internal teams and business of where Equipment Solutions Group sits in MCCs value chain and how it supports MCCs label and packaging leading investment in manufacturing capacity people and physical demands require standing using hands to finger feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
