Job Opportunity – General Medicine Provider – Alaska

Location: Juneau, Sitka, or Delta Junction, Alaska
Compensation: $600 per half-day (4 hours) or $1,200 per full day (8 hours), plus one-time $650 bonus upon completion of training and first exam
Schedule: PRN basis; flexible half-day or full-day shifts available. Juneau/Sitka: half-day per week. Delta Junction: 2 days per week.

• Conduct Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Non-treatment, interview-based exams with physical assessment components including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• No prescribing or ongoing treatment responsibilities
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Flexible scheduling on a per diem basis with option to work from own office or designated facility
• Follow-up administrative work included (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Alaska medical license
• AANP certification required
• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating/diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
• Willingness to complete DMA training and certification
• Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine preferred
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of assignment location (75-mile radius for Delta Junction)
• Providers using own office must meet ADA compliance and facility requirements
• Self-Query NPDB completed within the last 30 days
