Property Accountant

Position Title: Junior Property Accountant Location: Tysons, VA - fully on-site Compensation: $26-29/hr Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description: Manage full-cycle, high-volume accounts payable processing using NEXUS software. Research and resolve vendor inquiries and W-9 discrepancies. Prepare and distribute annual 1099 forms. Maintain accounts payable and cash receipts records and filing systems. Process tenant rent payments through electronic deposit scanning and post receipts in the accounting system. Reconcile cash receipts to bank records and investigate discrepancies. Assist with month-end close activities, including reports and account reconciliations. Collaborate with internal departments and support additional accounting duties as assigned. Requirements: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. MRI or Yardi experience required Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
