Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid Compact license required at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Required Experience with Trauma Level II patients - Charting System Experience with Epic - Float between units may be required Description: This position involves caring for critical patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include managing life support equipment and providing advanced nursing care. Must have experience with a variety of procedures, including arterial line management and central line care. It is essential to administer emergency medications as needed. Candidates should be able to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Care for ventilated patients is a key aspect of this role. Familiarity with trauma patient care and critical care protocols is necessary. Accommodations for block scheduling may be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility and a strong teamwork ethic. Travelers may float between sister facilities if required. Weekend shifts are mandatory, every other weekend. RTO must be included at the time of submission. References covering one year of experience required before starting. This position will require working three out of five major holidays. Adherence to infection prevention protocols is expected. Candidates must be proficient in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Prior experience in a diversity of settings and with various patient populations is beneficial. Expectations include maintaining documentation in the designated electronic medical record system.
