Sr Employee Relations Manager

Job Description:Chewy is searching for a Senior Employee Relations (ER) Manager to join the team in Minneapolis, MN! As a critical member of Chewy’s ER Center of Excellence (COE), the team provides specific expertise in the areas of employee relations, investigations, and risk management for one of the fastest growing and most dynamic companies in e-commerce today. There is opportunity to provide recommendations to local HR teams and infuse Employee Relations insight into the formation and consistent application of Chewy policies. You will work in close partnership with Chewy’s Legal team to raise allegations and concerns that pose substantial risks to the company. We look forward to hearing from you!What You'll Do:Thoroughly and expeditiously conduct fair, consistent, and un-biased investigations related to complex Team Member concernsProvide recommendations for the appropriate course of action based on the outcome of investigationsPartner with Legal team on cases and training HR Team Members in conducting thorough investigations in compliance with Chewy policies Use excellent interviewing, interpersonal, and documentation techniques and use the designated online case management tool (i.e., Navex) for reporting, documenting, and tracking investigationsProvide critical input to the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across the company based upon your investigation findings and recommendations Review investigation cases and issue trend data and provide actionable feedback to legal, HRBP teams, and senior leaders to reduce overall risk in the organizationSupport the evolution and improvement of the ER framework (process, tools, guides, etc.) for managing internal allegations and claimsUphold the highest level of accountability and maintain credibility throughout the organization, ensuring strict adherence to the integrity of and sensitivity in handling all aspects of private data and confidential mattersWhat You'll Need:Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, JD, or another related field7+ years of progressive employee relations experience, including extensive experience in completing workplace investigationsExperience with international e-commerce, distribution or fulfillment centers, veterinary, or pharmaceutical industry is preferredExtensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, as well as Labor Relations and standard methodologies in conducting workplace investigationsExperience working with HR information systems (i.e., Workday) and investigation case management software (i.e., Navex)Impeccable written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, using exceptional active listening skills to determine issues and formulate and ask appropriate follow-up questionsDemonstrable track record of using good judgment to handle complex or volatile situations effectively and to mediate in cases where requiredExperience creating and conducting training related to ER investigations and compliance, driven by investigative standard methodologies and company policies and proceduresAbility to collaborate with HR and non-HR partners to achieve resultsStrong creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize multiple overlapping tasks with close attention to detail, reliability, and efficiencyAbility to work into the evenings and weekends as business requires Experience with Union and Non-Union organizations a plus#LI-Hybrid#LI-KA1The base salary range for this role is $105,500 - $168,500.00.The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
