Job Posting Title Quality Engineering Technician Job Description Summary Performs quality engineering technician responsibilities as detailed below for the product assigned per the Quality Manager. Job Description Perform dimensional and mechanical inspection / layouts for new and existing product that are of a development or product validation nature. Under the direction of an engineer maintain and develop PFMEA / Control Plan / Process Flow / ECRs. Work with the Engineering performing various tasks related to customer concerns and production part quality issues. Participate in continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor and monitor progress under the direction of an engineer. (Shainin / 8D /5Y) Perform experiments under the direction of an engineer and aid in the statistical analysis of the results. Under the direction of an engineer, assist in operator training on new and existing product. Assist the engineer in development of proper control charts and limits Initiates all PPAP / Prototype documentation. Develops appearance reports under the guidance of the product engineer. Assists with Metrology efforts for new and current products (gage design and selection). Operates inspection equipment (Handheld gaging, CMMs, Optical comparators, Hardness tester, Density scales, Part specific gaging). Lead MRB and champions efforts to reduce scrap and rework. Required Skills and Education Education: 2 years Engineering experience or Manufacturing background in a PM environment. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Forward thinking, open-minded, methodical, and aggressive approach to problem solving. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Good Leadership qualities Able to work with little or no supervision, in a fast paced multi task environment.
