Warehouse Utility Operator | Ogden, UT

Looking for a stable career instead of just another job? Nexeo Staffing is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Utility Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This hands-on role supports both warehouse and plant operations, including railcar preparation, equipment monitoring, and facility upkeep. This position offers variety, cross-training opportunities, and long-term growth for individuals who are mechanically inclined and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Candidates must be flexible and able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and prepare railcars for loading operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas.
• Support plant operations by relieving personnel across multiple departments.
• Monitor and assist with maintaining essential plant equipment, including pumps, compressors, and boilers.
• Observe and report facility or equipment issues to management.
• Perform basic analytical tests to ensure products meet specifications.
• Identify when equipment requires maintenance or shutdown for safety and efficiency.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and general labor tasks.
• Train and rotate through various plant functions as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, lifting, and climbing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and complete basic reports and documentation.
• Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to changing job duties.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Preferred: Previous manufacturing or industrial experience.

Pay

$23.14 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Training Schedule | 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Full Time | 12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift | 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM

Full Time | 12-Hour Shifts | Night Shift | 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

• Rotating day and night shifts (approximately once per month).
• Facility operates 24/7; candidates must be available to work all shifts as needed.
