Our team of dedicated professionals is the reason why TCA Health continues to be one of Chicago's leading Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers.TCA VALUESTCA C.A.R.E.S.Compassion: We are kind, considerate, and caring.Accountability: We take ownership for each person's experiences.Respect: We treat each person with dignity.Excellence: We seek the highest level of performance in all we do.Service: We deliver high-quality services and access to care that uplifts our communities.Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant provides quality healthcare to patients including assisting in examination and treatment under the direction of a physician.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPractices independently and as needed, collaborates with nurse practitioners or supervises physician assistants, and/or other health care providers.Assists Physicians/NPs/PAs/Nurses in providing quality health care to patients.Ensures appropriate forms for documentation are included in medical records.Collects patient data by measuring vital signs (Blood Pressure, Pulse, Temperature, Respirations, Weight) for adult and pediatric patients.Records information in the electronic medical record.Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Maintains inventory and assists with ordering medical supplies and materials.Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests under physician instructions.Maintains and sanitizes medical instruments and examination rooms as required by TCA Health, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.Abides by all HIPPA guidelines in protection of patient privacy.May assist with appointment schedules and record maintenance.Keys data into computer to update patient records.May provide health screenings and assist in the community as needed.Sanitize and sterilize instruments and equipment.Inventory and ordering of medical and office supplies.Regular and reliable attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.Education & QualificationsMedical Assistant Diploma/Certification of training from an accredited school or association.Current BLS Certification.Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred, but not required.Minimum of one (1) year experience in Family Practice.Able to work independently.Willing to travel to other sites as necessary.Able to adapt to change and maintain a professional demeanor.Able to handle a fast-paced diverse workplace in a team environment.Excellent interpersonal/oral communication skills.BenefitsMedical Insurance (4 plan options)Dental Insurance (2 plan options)VisionLTD (company paid)Life AD&D (company paid)401k with employer matchPTOPaid HolidaysOther voluntary benefits through AflacAnd More...
