Manager, Patient Care Services - Medical Surgical and ICU

Position Summary The nurse manager practices in the framework of the mission, vision and values of ECU Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations. The manager is a clinical leader with focus on producing excellent patient outcomes, patient and family engagement, workforce management and development, and clinical efficiency. The nurse manager is the front‑line leader who partners with physicians and manages staff and resources to promote safe, timely, efficient, effective and patient‑focused unit operations. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree or higher -or- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus five to seven years of related experience required. Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse; must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Three to four years related experience Preferred Requirements Prefers 5 years of experience or higher. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7‑bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
