Scientific Executive Liaison and Chief of Staff

Are you a Chemist who has experience speaking and presenting to government officials and would like to move out of the lab to more of a Business Administrator role? Viridian Staffing's Client is currently seeking a Scientific Liaison to the CEO to act as the Executive Assistant and Business Administrator to a growing Cannabis company in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, area.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing ( is the original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

You will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the CEO's office including but not limited to ordering supplies, preparing meeting materials, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling, handling all correspondence (including emails and phone calls), and file organization. Using your background in chemistry, you will also serve as a liaison between the CEO and external partners/stakeholders, including working with and representing the company in front of the appropriate State and Federal government agencies. You'll get the opportunity to act as a Project Manager, assisting in the planning and execution of special projects led by the CEO, ensuring timely follow-up, and tracking project timelines and deliverables. You also will be able to conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market developments, and scientific advancements in the CBD field then summarize and present these findings to the CEO. When necessary, you'll represent the CEO in meetings and at events and should be comfortable in this type of role.

You should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred. You should have experience as an Executive Assistant or Chief of Staff, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CBD/Cannabis industry. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and using your understanding of chemical and laboratory processes are comfortable presenting Scientific topics to stakeholders, including government officials. You're known for your ability to problem solve and handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality. This position requires the ability to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats, so you feel comfortable and enjoy doing Administrative tasks just as much as handling project management and R&D tasks.
