Job Summary

FIU has Temporary Executive positions that may become available in the future within one of the University departments for a short term, temporary basis ( no more than 6 months or less ).

Duties may include:

• Assist in implementation of programs sponsored by the department.
• Support faculty/staff with research activities.
• Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
• Assist with day-to-day operational and/or administrative functions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four years of experience.
• Candidates recruited through this temporary pool will be required to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with Faculty/Staff, Students and both middle and upper management.
• Candidate will also be required to display proficiency with the use of Windows and other software packages.

Work Schedule

General University hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM, however may vary depending on department needs.

Advertised Salary

Dependent on the pay range for the specific position.

Temporary Disclosure

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits.
