Associate Patient Care Coordinator

In this dynamic dual role, you'll be the heartbeat of our practice — delivering exceptional patient experiences while helping patients find the perfect eyewear solutions. Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming front-office experience Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the daily flow of the clinic Verify insurance benefits and process optical and medical billing accurately Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and optical products tailored to their needs and lifestyle Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and contact lens solutions Process eyewear orders, track lab jobs, and notify patients when their glasses or contacts are ready Collect co-pays, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system Support optometrists and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination Pretesting, work ups, special testing, hands on patient care Requirements: Prior experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare setting preferred, but not required- will train the right person Familiarity with vision and medical insurance billing and verification Proficiency with EHR/practice management software Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy clinical environment Willingness to learn and quick to absorb information Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus in the Houston market About Us: InSight EyeCare is a trusted provider of comprehensive eye care services in the Houston, TX area, committed to delivering top-quality vision care in a friendly and professional environment.
