Job Description\n Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Radiation Therapist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Radiation TherapistJob Responsibilities:\n \n Administers radiation therapy in accordance with physician's instructions and the patient's treatment plan.\n Enters data into computer systems and adjusts equipment controls to regulate dosage as required.\n Assists healthcare professionals in preparing the technical aspects of radiation treatment plans based on patient conditions and anatomy.\n Constructs patient immobilization devices as directed by physicians.\n Maintains accurate patient and billing records, reports, and files according to department policies, including details on radiation dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions.\n Performs routine and complex radiation therapy treatments such as total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high brachytherapy in line with established practices and standards.\n Prepares equipment and treatment rooms for patient sessions.\n Utilizes appropriate protective equipment and follows safety procedures to ensure the safety of patients, self, and others.\n Conducts quality assurance procedures in compliance with state and federal guidelines.\n Provides mentorship, clinical instruction, and evaluation for student radiation therapists.\n Required Education:\n \n Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).\n Required Certifications & Licensure:\n \n Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).\n Preferred Skills & Experience:\n Elekta experience is preferred.Schedule Notes:\n The clinic operates from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with varying shifts within these hours.Languages:\n \n English - Read, Write, Speak\n \n \n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #38183929.
