The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for a dependable Cook / Culinary Aide to join our culinary team and help prepare and serve meals for the Veterans and spouses who call our community home.

If you enjoy working with food and are looking for something different from the traditional restaurant environment, this may be a great fit.

Schedule & Pay

Full Time | 72 hours per pay period
Starting at $17.72/hour for Cook shifts

Starting at $16.00/ hour for Culinary Aide shifts

Every other weekend required

What You'll Do

Depending on your assignment, your day may include:

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and diet needs

• Complete food preparation for current and upcoming meals

• Follow member-specific dietary, texture, portion, and consistency requirements

• Check and document food temperatures as required

• Portion and serve food and beverages

• Assemble meal trays accurately based on individual member needs

• Deliver and collect meal trays

• Set up and prepare dining and meal service areas

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment

• Stock food, beverages, and supplies

• Properly store, label, and rotate food

• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, food preparation, and dining areas

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention requirements
