Adoption Specialist

Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption has recently opened our office in Kansas, and we are looking for a caring, motivated individual to staff our office and be part of our multi-state team. We are looking for an Adoption Specialist who has a heart to work with women in unexpected pregnancies, adoptees, and adoptive families. The position assists expectant parents with the options available in an unexpected pregnancy and works with adoptive families to help facilitate the process, as well as other duties related to the service and care of all involved in the adoption process. 

This is a full-time position with benefits. The work schedule is traditional office hours offset by nights and weekends as determined based on client care need. This position will travel between our Kansas and Oklahoma offices frequently. 

It is an exciting growth opportunity with the potential for promotion as the agency has plans to expand to the rest of Kansas and hire additional staff. We are looking for the right person to help us establish and grow our presence in Kansas.

An Adoption Specialist must be:

Experience in the adoption field preferred. A bachelors degree in a social work or a bachelors degree in a behavioral/social science related field and one year of child and family services is required; masters degree preferred. Applicant must have or be eligible for licensure with the Kansas behavioral sciences regulatory board in one of the following professional categories: psychologist, social worker, professional counselor, or marriage and family therapist.
