Schedule: Monday–Friday; 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

No Weekends Required

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join a busy medical practice in Greenvale, NY. This individual will serve as the face of the office, greeting patients, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical office experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Cardiology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with a welcoming and professional demeanor
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and lab tests
• Check out patients and review next steps
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, testing, and results
• Work with insurance companies to resolve patient and billing inquiries
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
• Utilize EMR systems to manage patient information and scheduling
• Support front office operations and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• 1+ year of experience as a Healthcare Receptionist, Medical Receptionist, or Patient Service Representative in a clinical setting
• Experience scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Experience communicating with patients and insurance companies
• Insurance verification experience
• Knowledge of medical documentation and records
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a Cardiology or Internal Medicine practice
• Experience using an EMR/EHR system

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenvale, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
