Now Hiring: Banquet ServerLocation: DoubleTree by Hilton - Springfield, MOEssential Responsibilities:Sets up all banquet function table linens, china, silverware, glassware and centerpieces.Sets up waiting and beverage stations.Sets up all perishable items for banquet service such as bread, butter and cream.Serves all food and beverages to banquet guests.Clears away all dishes and items used in the service of a banquet, including the linens.Ensures the proper storage of all items from equipment to perishable foods.Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.Abides by OHM and hotel brand standards, policies, and regulations.Prepares for future banquets by folding napkins, filling condiments, and performing other duties as required.Relieves other team members allowing for breaks during the shift.Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.Embrace O'Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.Skills & Abilities:Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel.)Pleasant, polite, and maintains a neat and clean appearance.Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills.The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ability to deliver results.The ability to multitask and prioritize.Hours:Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.Education & Experience:High school diploma/GED.1-year hospitality or banquet experience preferred.Physical Requirements of the Position:Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.Physical Activity of the Position:Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.Environmental Conditions:Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
