The Employee Cafeteria / Banquets - Cook 2 is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our employees! The Chef provides an enjoyable expertly cooked dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

What you will do:

1. Assist the Sous Chefs in the day-to-day operation of the Employee Cafeteria.
2. Assist in creating and preparing menu items and specials.
3. Assist with weekly inventory for the Employee Cafeteria.
4. Check and complete mise en place and pars and station set-up.
5. Communicate with the Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages.
6. Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
7. Store items properly at the end of the shift.
8. Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area
9. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
10. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
11. Follow all guidelines for timely food service to employees.
12. Have knowledge of and adhere to Four Seasons Food Standards.
13. Responsible for operating, maintaining and properly cleaning kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
14. Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
15. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

What you bring:

• Culinary degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years culinary or related work experience
• Advanced knife skills and ability to multi-task
• Must be able to work as part of team
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must have working knowledge of computers.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and possess the ability to work autonomously.
• Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

• Full-time
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
