Material Handler Pay Rate and Hours:

Pay: $17-18/hr, DOE
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 1st shift 7:00am-4:00pm

Material Handler Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to support our Shipping & Receiving operations. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, pulling and staging orders, verifying incoming and outgoing materials, and operating various types of forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Material Handler Primary Responsibilities:

Operate multiple types of forklifts, including: Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Rough Terrain Forklift, Sit-Down Forklift
Load and unload LTL and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Verify incoming and outgoing materials against manifests, purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
Receive, inspect, and accurately store inventory.
Maintain organization of warehouse and yard areas.
Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
Work effectively in a fast-paced shipping environment, especially during peak truck arrival periods between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

Material Handler Qualifications:

Previous material handling, warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience preferred.
Experience operating forklifts required; experience with cherry pickers and reach trucks is highly preferred.
Ability to read and verify shipping documents, manifests, and purchase orders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.
Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including unloading trucks by hand when necessary.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.

This is a temp to hire position.
