Correctional Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Davisboro, GA Shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (Days) Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends (Every Other Weekend / Flex Required) Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
The Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and facility administrators to support the health and well-being of the incarcerated population. This role requires the ability to provide both routine and emergency nursing care while navigating the unique challenges and limitations of a correctional environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care as needed
- Perform assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum 1 year of correctional and/or psychiatric nursing experience
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- Completed TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation
Local Pay: $47/hour Travel Pay: $20/hour Meals Stipend: $700/week Housing Stipend: $400/week Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$1,820/week
