Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Commerical Painter in Wauconda, IL. This position is responsible for the preparation and application of paints and protective coatings for commercial exterior projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with exterior surface preparation, various application techniques, and working safely at heights on commercial structures. Job Type: Contract Pay: $25 to $32 Per Hour BOE Responsibilities: Prepare exterior surfaces for painting by power washing, scraping, sanding, and patching as required. Apply paints, stains, and protective coatings to commercial building exteriors using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment. Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts to access elevated work areas. Mix and match paint colors and consistencies to ensure uniform coverage across large exterior surfaces. Protect surrounding property, including landscaping and windows, from overspray and debris during application. Operate and maintain professional painting equipment, including power washers and sprayers. Identify and repair surface imperfections in substrates such as masonry, metal, and wood before coating. Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all materials and tools are stored safely. Follow project schedules and specifications to meet quality standards and deadlines. Qualifications: Proven experience in commercial exterior painting. Proficiency with painting tools and equipment, including airless sprayers and power washers. Knowledge of exterior coating materials and their compatibility with various building substrates. Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques for exterior environments. Ability to work independently or as part of a crew on contract-based projects. Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites in the Wauconda area. Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wind. Comfort working at significant heights on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Standing, bending, stretching, and reaching for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination required for precise paint application. Awareness of OSHA safety standards for exterior painting and fall protection. Pay Transparency: The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $32 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
