Teradata DeveloperPosition details:Job Title: Teradata DeveloperLocation: Des Moines, IADuration: 12 months (Possibilities of extensions)Job Description:· Client is looking for a developer to support lead generation loads for the Audit Component Case Management application.· This position will be joining our database support team and require a data warehouse skill set, utilizing stored procedures, SQL and Teradata Utilities.· The candidate will work with Teradata DBAs and other business staff to identify required data elements for use in targeted systems.ResponsibilitiesUtilize business requirements to perform impact analysis and convert to detailed designsCode, test and deploy stored procedures to load data to the warehouse and various martsApply user access/roles as specified by business requirementsAssist with use cases, test cases and system documentation for assigned projectsTroubleshoot and resolve SQL errors and performance problemsFollow best practices for Teradata deploymentsWrite queries to facilitate management analysts needs for testing and researchCommunicate accurate and useful status updatesManage and report time spent on all work activitiesRequired Skills:Data Warehousing concepts and project experienceStrong analytical/mathematical and reasoning skillsExpertise in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions), based on business requirements and architectural guidelines and standardsStrong Teradata SQL expertise is a must (familiarity with SQL Assistant)Knowledge of Teradata Stored Procedure/MacroTeradata load utilities: BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, OleLoadDeveloping packages with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Working knowledge of Entity Relationship ModelsProficiency with Teradata concepts and logical/physical database designAbility to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAdditional Information:All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
