Phlebotomist I Location: Charlotte, NC 28277 Duration: 3 MONTHS Shift: 800am-500pm Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and patient‑focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on phlebotomy experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a physician office setting. This role primarily supports an OB/GYN practice and offers the opportunity for contract‑to‑hire based on performance. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following standard procedures. Collect approximately 15-25 blood draws per day . Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for transport. Ensure patient identification and specimen integrity at all times. Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations. Perform routine specimen processing as needed. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work independently while delivering excellent customer service to patients and providers. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Hands‑on phlebotomy experience. Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Must successfully complete all required compliance checks. Must meet all required vaccination/compliance requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an OB/GYN practice. Specimen processing experience. Experience using Epic EMR . Work Environment Onsite physician office laboratory. Solo work environment. Standing duration varies throughout the shift. 2-3 weeks of onsite training provided.
