Staff AccountantCompany: AISIN World Corp. of AmericaLocation: Northville, MIPosition SummaryThis position will function to support the Accounting & Finance department.Position ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position. Responsibilities include various activities in the areas of Accounting and Finance for various AISIN companies. These include daily, monthly, or quarterly activities such as but not limited to:Month end & quarter end close activitiesJournal entry preparation & postingAccount reconciliation & analysisFinancial reporting & analysisGeneral ledger posting and account reconciliationAssist with quarterly review and year-end financial auditDaily cash & monthly bank account reconciliationsAccounts payable invoice entry, validation, payments and researchAccounts receivable manual invoice creationTravel & entertainment expense reporting management and auditingReporting (internal & external)Fixed asset accounting & audit supportInter-company accounts payable and accounts receivable analysisPerform related party inter-company reconciliations, analysis and confirmationsInsurance & tax supportKaizen improvement activitiesOther tasks and duties as assignedRequired Skills and AbilitiesEssential Skills and Experience:0-2 years of experience in Accounting or FinanceAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to understand standard accounting systemsAbility to understand and be able to perform researchProficiency in MS officeAbility to pay strict attention to details, effectively communicate with stakeholders and to organize and complete tasks on time.Excellent written and oral language skillsBeneficial Skills and ExperienceOracle Fusion experienceUnderstanding of US GAAP/IFRSEducation/Training/CertificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university required.Travel RequirementsApproximately 5 %.Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.Work Environment RequirementsWith reasonable accommodation:Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment.Must perform job duties onsite, when necessary, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.Must be able to operate as an effective team member.Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.Attendance/Work Hour RequirementsMust maintain an acceptable attendance record.Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
