Software Engineer Java Fullstack AWS

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We need strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• We require practical experience with Java, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• We need working knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, and source control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• We require hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks and technologies such as ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js.
• We need strong understanding of component-based architecture in React, TypeScript for improving code quality, JavaScript closures and asynchronous programming, and NodeJS for scalable server-side applications.
• We require experience managing state in React applications using tools such as Redux and Context API.
• We need hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and Storybook for unit, component, contract, and CSS testing.
• We require experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• We require hands-on use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to validate and refine AI-generated output for accuracy, performance, and security.
• We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Preferred: exposure to cloud services such as AWS, S3, EKS, IAM, Aurora Postgres, and Lambda.
• A Government Security Clearance will be required for this position, including fingerprints, credit check, employment history, and U.S. citizenship or proof of U.S. legal permanent residence for 7 years.

• We design, build, and troubleshoot software solutions using thoughtful approaches beyond routine methods.
• We create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms across appropriate systems.
• We produce architecture and design documentation for complex applications and ensure software development meets design constraints.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of our applications and systems.
• We proactively identify hidden issues and patterns in data to improve coding practices and system architecture.
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
• We help foster a team culture grounded in diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
