No relocation or per diem available.Main is hiring for experienced sandblasters who have worked on marine and/or industrial projects. You should be comfortable blasting inside confined spaces and at elevations of 50 feet or more. You should have experience with many different types of blast media, including but not limited to, coal slag, garnet, aluminum oxide, sponge, and recyclable steel abrasive. The sandblasters responsibilities are to remove coatings per the project specification. Additional responsibilities include the set up and break down of the blasting equipment, hoses, and material.Note: No phone calls regarding position details or application status. All inquires by email.Job Type: Full-time, hourlyRequired experience: Two years (2) experience as a marine or industrial sandblaster.Must be 18 years' oldExperience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heightsBe respirator fit tested and trained in respiratory safety per OSHA standardsForklift training/certification a plus (additional training will be required once hired for those using a forklift)Aerial man lift training/certification a plus (additional training will be required once hired for those using an aerial man lift)Understand and carry out verbal directions given by supervisorUnderstand and obey all posted warning, caution, notification and/or hazards signs posted on a job siteAll candidates must submit to drug testing and E-Verification of their right to work in the USA criminal background check may be requiredCurrent TWIC badge a plusCurrent SSPC C7 certification a plusReliable transportation a mustNo overtime is guaranteed, but some projects do require overtime. This could be more than 40 hours during the normal Monday Friday work week, work on the weekends or both. Some projects do have a night shift.
