Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Marine Painter that has worked in a shipyard or shop environment supporting NAVSEA work. This will be in a shop environment in Hampton Va.
In this position you will be required to work to MIL-SPEC standards for painting shipboard parts and it would be preferred to have experience with sandblasting to see shop parts through the full blast and coat process.
Day to Day:
Operate and maintain the blast and coat booth
Manage the quality of products to be prepped for final inspection
Maintain clear and accurate records of all work performed, inspections and maintenance
Daily use of tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.
Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs
Pay: 20-25/hr (may vary depending on certifications and relevant experience)

Skills and Requirements
3 - 5 years Marine Painting experience
Familiar with MIL-SPEC standards and processes
Familiar with tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.
Experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless and Aluminum parts - NBPI Certified (NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector)
Sandblasting experience or certifications
$20 - $25 per hour
