Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Marine Painter that has worked in a shipyard or shop environment supporting NAVSEA work. This will be in a shop environment in Hampton Va.

In this position you will be required to work to MIL-SPEC standards for painting shipboard parts and it would be preferred to have experience with sandblasting to see shop parts through the full blast and coat process.

Day to Day:

• Operate and maintain the blast and coat booth

• Manage the quality of products to be prepped for final inspection

• Maintain clear and accurate records of all work performed, inspections and maintenance

• Daily use of tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.

Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs

Pay: 20-25/hr (may vary depending on certifications and relevant experience)

Skills and Requirements

• 3 - 5 years Marine Painting experience

• Familiar with MIL-SPEC standards and processes

• Familiar with tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.

• Experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless and Aluminum parts - NBPI Certified (NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector)

• Sandblasting experience or certifications
