Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One.The Fraud Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner across Fraud Strategy, business lines, digital teams, and enterprise risk functions. The role blends advanced fraud risk analysis with business consulting, solution evaluation, and cross-functional influence. This position identifies fraud vulnerabilities, maps and evaluates business processes, sizes financial impact (fraud losses, revenue impact, operational costs), and translates complex data into clear, actionable insights.The Analyst applies deep domain knowledge in authentication, transaction risk, identity verification, and servicing workflows to recommend fraud controls, guide vendor solution testing, and support development of enterprise-wide fraud mitigation strategies. This role is also responsible for maintaining awareness of emerging fraud trends, assessing vendor capabilities, contributing to pilot design and evaluation, and delivering structured reporting that informs executive decision making.The Analyst functions as a connector between technical teams, product owners, fraud operations, and enterprise partners—ensuring data-driven decisioning, process clarity, and delivery of measurable risk reduction.Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Typically more than six years of applicable experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceAbility to perform analysis using SAS, SQL, Python, or similar programming language to tie data from multiple sources togetherProficiency in analytics related to financial management, cost benefit analysis, evaluating fraud prevention infrastructure, and making data driven recommendationsExperience analyzing data to determine loss impact on any given product and determine multiple risk management strategies and enhancementsDemonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex data, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadershipCapacity to conduct an analysis of business need and/or define and maintain complex process flows as needed, lead meetings, plan agendas, and conferring with business line leadersStrong project management skillsEffective verbal and written communication skills working with and influencing at all levels of the organization, including senior leadershipProficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications and data analysis softwareProcess mapping and ability to understand a business workflow to identify gaps and realize potential solutionsLOCATION EXPECTATIONS: This role requires working from a U.S. Bank Location three (3) or more days per week.NOTE: This position is not eligible for current or future visa sponsorship.If there's anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.Benefits:Healthcare (medical, dental, vision)Basic term and optional term life insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityPregnancy disability and parental leave401(k) and employer-funded retirement planPaid vacation (from two to five weeks depending on salary grade and tenure)Up to 11 paid holiday opportunitiesAdoption assistanceSick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 80 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by lawU.S. Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
